Only questions someone thought about
A message that starts with "got a minute?" never takes a minute. On Qahvadosh every request has a coffee held behind it — so only people who thought their question through write to you.
You set the minimum coffee for each format and length yourself. It is not a price — it is a filter.
Who this is for
No title and no follower count required. If you have already walked the road someone else is just starting, you have something to say.
People a few years into a craft
Developer, doctor, lawyer, designer, accountant. Anyone who can answer "how does this actually work" from practice rather than from a textbook.
Founders and managers
Half an hour with someone who started, failed and started again beats ten articles about the local market — they know the numbers and the reasons behind them.
People who studied or work abroad
Visas, relocation, interviews at a foreign company. A forum does not answer questions like these — one conversation with someone who has done it does.
Teachers and researchers
Thirty specific minutes with a student often give more direction than a whole semester of general lectures.
Who this isn't for
Qahvadosh is neither a dating site nor a job board. Anyone here to sell, to hand out a CV, or simply to "make connections" will not last long: after every meeting the guest leaves a rating, and it stays on your profile.
Why here
A paid request is a serious request
Sending an invitation holds the guest's coffee, and the topic has to be a few sentences, not one line. Those two conditions filter out "hi, I have a question" on their own.
The schedule is yours to fill
You pick the weekdays and hours, and mark holidays or busy days as exceptions. Once you hit your weekly cap you show as busy in the catalogue and new requests stop arriving.
The coffee count is a filter, not a price
The minimum is set separately for each format and length: half an hour online and half an hour in person need not match — travel and a venue take time too. The higher you set it, the fewer requests you get and the more serious they are.
The coffee does not vanish
Coffee stays blocked on the guest's balance until the meeting ends. In person it moves to you once you scan the QR code, online once you enter the room — and you spend it on conversations of your own. If the invitation expires, it returns to the guest in full.
How it starts
Fill the profile in properly
Photo, one line about you, field, city, and what you can actually talk about. You don't appear in the catalogue until the profile is complete — that rule saves both sides from an empty conversation.
Set your filter and schedule
Turn on the formats and lengths you want, set a minimum in coffees for each pair, then fill in the weekly schedule and the exceptions for individual days.
Read the invitation that arrives
Every invitation shows the topic, the chosen time and the number of coffees. You accept or decline — no reason required, and declining breaks nothing.
Meet, then confirm
You meet at the agreed time. In person the guest shows a QR code and you scan it; online, entering the room is enough. The coffee lands on your balance and opens for use after 24 hours — you spend it when you are the guest yourself.
How much time this takes
Set three numbers to match yourself: how long a meeting runs, how many coffees you ask for it and how many you have time for a month.
Your time per month
Per week
0.9 conversations
The number of coffees is not a price, it is a FILTER: the higher you set it, the fewer requests arrive and the more serious they are. Coffee cannot be cashed out — you spend it when you are the guest yourself.
